Investigation into a methamphetamine ring in the Cerro Gordo area resulted in the arrest of 12 suspects.
Last September, the Piatt County Sheriff's department was asked by Cerro Gordo police to look into the possible meth ring in the Cerro Gordo area. Sherrif's investigator, J. D. Russell said that by December, at least seven suspected manufacturing locations had been found.
The first arrests were made on December 18. Four of the twelve arressted face Class 1 felony charges and face up to 15 years upon conviction.
